Its great to be back home in my studio and I am looking forward to returning to my daily painting posts!My husband brought me this lovely red rose and I decided that I should paint it. I kept it loose and textural with the "feeling" of a rose. Getting the correct colour balance in the photo was quite difficult with this fully saturated red, so the photo is not quite as powerful as the painting.
It is 5" by 7" on stretched linen.
